We are dedicated to support the lives of people, families and communities affected by HIV, by never losing sight of the individual.
BPNW is an outstanding charity focused on individuals, creating exceptional results by keeping care at the personal level, where it makes a real difference to peoples lives.
Working with people affected by HIV, families, communities and ethnic groups, BPNW meets the challenges that the changing HIV and AIDS environment presents by never loosing sight of the individual, BPNW ethos of self-management and maximum possible participation by people, families and communities directly affected by HIV has lead us towards an inclusive and personal approach to living with HIV, realising and sustaining the highest possible quality standards, increasing life expectancy and increasing quality of life. In addition, BPNW is committed to increasing awareness of HIV in order to reduce infection and reduce the stigma associated with HIV.

Well Done, Urbanathletes!
The third Manchester Urbanathlon took place on Sunday, 25th July 2010 and the Green Ribbon team from BPNW joined in the fun to raise money for its instant HIV testing campaign.
Feeling sore with aching muscles were what some of the team felt the next day, but they all agreed it was a wonderful event and really enjoyed it.
Competitors climbed over fences, concrete blocks, a haystack and a climbing wall; they elbowed their way down a long and very narrow tube; they climbed through a special obstacle-filled bouncy castle and tripped their way through a maze of ropes!
The Green Ribbon team did well for themselves. Their times are to be found on the Urbanathlon web site.
Many thanks go to all who put in the effort and rose to the challenge. Thanks also to those who sponsored on line.
For any other people, you can still donate at the runners' fundraising web pages below – especially if you want to make up for the fact that you didn't run or weren't there to support the team. (Note the subtle appeal to troubled consciences!)
Finally, if you think you would like to do some fundraising with some activity that's not so demanding as an Urbanathlon, check out the Mayor of Bolton's Mayorathon event which takes place on 12th September 2010.
