Be part of virtual community of positive people!

The majority of people living with HIV in the UK are not in touch with voluntary sector support services. The HIV clinic is the one place we all have to go from time to time if we are to stay well.

Increasingly we look for information in a wider range of settings; websites, magazines, our peers.

Many of us get useful information from our doctors or nurses but there’s much to be learned from getting helpful tips and support from people who are also living with the same chronic condition.

A new website www.myhealthgen.com has recently launched to help people diagnosed with the same or similar medical condition to meet each other and share their experiences.

Once you’ve registered with the site you can look forward to meeting new, interesting and friendly people who have a similar diagnosis.

Perhaps you could share your experience or be a support to someone in a similar situation. You may well learn tips from people living with other chronic conditions, and you may be able to play your part to de-stigmatise HIV.

Try it, it’s free and might well be the start of a large virtual community of people living with HIV in the UK.
