By improving language and number skills, an individual can increase in confidence. This in turn leads to better communications with health care professionals and a better understanding of the systems and facilities on offer. This is obviously of huge importance to anyone living with a chronic illness.
The sessions have been organised by our new literacy and numeracy facilitators. The Saturday sessions are open to all of our service users and their families.
Alternatively, the tutors are also running sessions on a Wednesday. Wednesday's classes are tailored for anyone affected by HIV, whether from the heterosexual, LGBT or the BME communities.
