Gay men's space update
The Gay Men's Space on Thursday evenings which relaunced in January has gone from strength to strength. In just the last quarter 69 men have attended the group and have enjoyed various evenings of laughter and "hanging out" together.
Two months ago Robert Fieldhouse and nurse Juliet Bennett delivered an excellent workshop on adherence and they'll be back on September 25th for a workshop on diet, exercise, alcohol and stopping smoking.
'DR' did Hopi candle workshops and trained up a few of the guys to deliver this.
Some of our group are regular chefs and assistants in preparing delicious, nutritious food with good humour and good hearts for the rest of us. If you se yourself as a budding Jamie, Marc, or Fanny let us know and we’ll get you on the roster.
Councillor Paul Fairweather, Gay men's lead for Manchester City Council will be visiting the group on September 18th to talk about his role within the council as well as the work he does at the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
