Father Liam Armour R.I.P.
Father Liam Armour, BPNW’s spiritual director passed away yesterday (12 June 2008) at 6pm.
Father Liam was paramount in putting forward a pastoral team working to enhance a spiritual programme in an interfaith fashion at BPNW
Through his input there have been many varied denominational and non denominational programmes introduced to BPNW, from which many service users have found a spiritual comfort.
His passing is a loss to the pastoral care department and to BPNW as a whole.
Father Liam was a Mill Hill missionary and worked in Africa for many years before returning to England where he joined the community in Weaste.
He was involved in the Salford Interfaith Community and the local Roman Catholic Church in Salford precinct.
His other duties were Trustee at BPNW and a speaker at various interfaith conferences.
He would often step in to other parishes for priestly duties while local parish priests were away.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his community at this difficult time.
