Have your story heard at the World Aids Conference

Universal Action Now is the theme of the XVII International AIDS Conference to be held 3-8 August in Mexico this year. Body Positive North West is delighted to announce that we will be represented at the conference and will have an information/resource stall in the main exhibition area.

As part of our ongoing drive to challenge stigma and to introduce the human face of HIV, Body Positive North West are planning a video presentation which will run throughout the conference.

This is where you come in. Are you living with HIV? Are you affected by HIV? What’s your story? Was there something you wanted to say about your life with HIV? Is there a tale you need to get off your chest?

Body Positive North West is looking for your stories and we plan to record them on DVD to take to Mexico.

If you don’t want to appear yourself, but really want your story told, we can have a clearly identified “stand in” tell your story. We can change names or locations or dates, if you want to maintain you anonymity. We really want to give as much as possible the opportunity to talk about HIV from your perspective; your culture; your language; your gender; your sexuality.
