Weekly Numeracy, Literacy and ESOL Workshops
We will be holding literacy and numeracy sessions in the centre, every Wednesday.
By improving language and number skills, an individual can increase in confidence. This in turn leads to better communications with health care professionals and a better understanding of the systems and facilities on offer. This is obviously of huge importance to anyone living with a chronic illness.
The sessions have been organised by our new literacy and numeracy facilitators, who are also planning saturday morning family learning sessions.
The classes are tailored for anyone affected by HIV, whether from the heterosexual, LGBT or the BME communities. The classes will utilise resources designed with these specific communities in mind.
